As a past Chairperson of the Central Safety Committee, the personal health and safety of each employee of Louisiana – Pacific is of primary importance. We have adopted the philosophy that the prevention of occupationally-induced injuries and illnesses is of such consequence that employee safety is given precedence over operating productivity whenever necessary. In addition, for our organization’s safety program to be successful, the program must constantly embody the proper employee attitude toward injury and illness prevention on the part of all hourly and salaried employees. Our Safety and Accident Prevention Programs require cooperation in all safety and health matters, not only between supervisors and employees, but between each employee and their co-workers. For our goal is Zero accidents and injuries.
