Thinking about that first job or just daydreaming about what you can do with some extra cash can be pretty exciting. That’s probably why there are a growing number of young people entering the workplace. In many ways, work is a rite of passage on the journey to adulthood. Today’s youth will become the workforce of the 21st Century. The skills that are learned early in life provide great opportunities to develop vital work skills that will be needed for the future.
We are pleased to play a role in assisting young workers and their employers develop safe and rewarding work environments. The Teen Room is designed to provide information for Teen Workers and information for Employers of Teen Workers on a state child labor laws – the hours they can work and the jobs they can perform. The Teen Room also has information that will help young workers and employers to work together to ensure safe work environments.
